Yes. Context Capsule is built privacy-first. Your data is stored securely and never shared with third parties. With the Ultra tier, you get zero-trust AES-256-GCM encryption where only you hold the key - we literally cannot access your data.
We use a local embedding model (all-MiniLM-L6-v2) that runs entirely on our servers - no external API calls. Your search queries and content are never sent to third-party AI services. This means fast, private semantic search with no API keys needed.
Model Context Protocol (MCP) allows you to connect your Context Capsule vault to external AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT. Your capsules become a memory server that these AI assistants can query, making them smarter with your personal knowledge.
Absolutely. Plus tier and above can export all capsules as Markdown or JSON files. Your data is never locked in - you own it completely.
Context Capsule is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android phones and tablets, and as a progressive web app. We're working on Apple Watch and Wear OS companion apps.
You can always export your data. If you downgrade to Free, you'll retain access to your first 20 capsules and 2 folders. Premium features will be disabled, but your data is never deleted.
