Getting Started

Welcome to Context Capsule! Here's how to capture your first piece of knowledge:

  1. Create an account - Sign up with your email address
  2. Tap the + button - Found in the bottom right of the Library screen
  3. Add a title and content - Write your note or paste content
  4. Add tags (optional) - Help organize and find your capsules later
  5. Save - Your capsule is now stored securely

Tip: Use descriptive titles. "Meeting notes - Project X - Jan 2026" is easier to find than "Notes".

Organizing with Folders Plus+

Folders help you group related capsules together. Plus tier and above can create unlimited folders.

Creating a Folder

  1. Go to the Library screen
  2. Tap the folder icon in the header
  3. Tap "Create Folder"
  4. Give your folder a name

Moving Capsules to Folders

  1. Open a capsule
  2. Tap the edit icon
  3. Select a folder from the dropdown
  4. Save your changes

Keyword Search All Tiers

Search by typing words that appear in your capsule titles, content, or tags. Results are ranked by relevance.

AI Semantic Search Pro+

Pro tier and above can use AI-powered semantic search. This finds capsules by meaning, not just keywords. For example, searching "project deadlines" might find a capsule titled "Q1 milestones" even if it doesn't contain the word "deadline".

Privacy note: AI search uses a local embedding model. Your search queries and content are never sent to third-party AI services.

Importing Content

From URL

Paste a web URL to capture the page content. We'll extract the main text and save it as a new capsule.

From Clipboard

Quickly paste content from your clipboard. Great for capturing snippets from other apps.

From Files

Upload .txt or .md files to import their content as capsules.

Exporting Data Plus+

Plus tier and above can export all capsules at any time.

Export Formats

How to Export

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Tap "Export Data"
  3. Choose your format
  4. Download or share the file
